事実を見極める目

ミャンマーで拘束された日本人記者が、即日解放されたとのニュースを見ました。

「外国人のしかもジャーナリストを拘束したと有っては、内外に与える悪影響が大き過ぎるとの理性がまだ残っている」のようなコメントをされて居る方もいらっしゃいました。

危険な場所での撮影や取材は恐怖を伴うと思いますが、世界の全ての人々が事実を見極める目を持つために報道はとてもとても大切だと思います。

どうか細心の注意を払いつつ活動され、私達にニュースを届けていただきたいと思います。

Eyes to determine the facts 

I saw the news that a Japanese reporter detained in Myanmar was released on the same day.

Some commented, "They still have the idea that the detention of foreign journalists has too much of an adverse effect on the inside and outside."

Shooting and interviewing in dangerous places can be frightening, but I think the press is very important for everyone in the world to have an eye for the facts.

I hope that journalists will work with the utmost care and bring us news.
